Product Description and Application

4J36 is an austenitic nickel-iron alloy containing 36% nickel. In the temperature range of -100°C to 200°C, its thermal expansion rate is almost zero-about one-tenth of that of carbon steel. It has high strength and toughness retention at low temperatures, making it suitable for various low temperature or low expansion applications. The alloy is well suited to areas where temperature-induced dimensional changes must be minimal, such as structural components used in aerospace composites, tools for radio and electronic equipment, and precision equipment such as lasers, measuring equipment, thermostats, and cryogenic instruments.
